Forum to explore the faces of grief
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 5 years, 1 month AGO
SANDPOINT — Today’s Geezer Forum will explore the many faces of grief.
Lissa DeFreitas, bereavement coordinator at the BGH Community Hospice, and Paul Graves of Elder Advocates will lead a conversation about grief and transforming it through hope.
There are many life-experiences that provoke us to grieve. Grief, whether new or old, has a way of intruding into your daily life during moments you normally think of as positive and celebratory, Graves notes. Today’s forum is to encourage us all to consider what grief has to teach us, to be patient with ourselves and “befriend” grief to learn what it has to teach us.
The forum will be held in the Community Room in the Columbia Bank building, 414 Church, from 2:30-4 p.m.
Geezer Forum is hosted by Paul Graves, writer of “Dear Geezer” in The Daily Bee. It is sponsored by Elder Advocates.
