PRIEST RIVER — Sophomore Trentyn Kreager scored 22 points and senior Jayden Hahn added 20 to propel the Spartans to a 65-36 victory over Clark Fork on Friday night.

“I thought we played well,” Wylie wrote in an email. “It was our first game of the year and although practice has been great it’s hard to compare to a game atmosphere. Offensively we ran our sets pretty well and I thought we took care of the ball for the most part.”

Priest River was all over the Wampus Cats defensively, holding them to just 9 points in the first half. This allowed the Spartans to jump out to a 37-9 lead at halftime.

Priest River came out a little slow in the third quarter only scoring 10 points but they picked it up in the fourth quarter to secure the 29 point victory.

“I’m proud of the team effort at both ends of the court,” Wylie wrote.
