Wallace was our first game this year, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, and at times it really showed. We are pretty young with lots of talent but you could see we had a lot of nervous players. We were able to jump to an early lead with some great team pressure but Wallace adjusted and pulled back to even the score at the quarter. By half we had pulled back away from them with a 35-26 lead.
I was hoping that in the second half we could continue to distance ourselves from them but they fought to keep it a close game. The fourth quarter was basically a one or two point game until we ended the game on an 8-0 run with two minutes left in the game. It was nice to see us hold our composure and finish off a game to get the win.
The Badgers return to action tonight vs. Genesis Prep, with the game played at 7 p.m. at The Courts at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls.
