Post Falls man faces rape and lewd conduct charges

A 37-year-old Post Falls man who police arrested late Tuesday was charged today in a Coeur d’Alene Magistrate Court with rape, sexual battery and lewd conduct with a minor.

At his first court appearance Aaron T. Cain’s bail was set at $250,000. The maximum penalties for the charges if convicted is life in prison.

Cain is accused of having relationships with a teenager starting when she was 14 and another girl who was 16 when he entered into a sexual relationship with her that continued until his arrest, according to court records.

Police said Cain was on the run after learning he was wanted.

His next court appearance is within 14 days if he stays in jail, or 21 days of he posts bail.
