BONNERS FERRY — The visiting Riverside Rams jumped out to a 4-0 lead during the first 2:30 of the game, but after a time out, the Badgers ended the quarter on a 16-0 run for a 16-4 first quarter lead.
Baylee Blackmore led the Badgers with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Holly Ansley added 17 points and Sadie Hill contributed 11.
“We are starting to have other players step up offensively: Sadie this game and Sierra Hill last game. We are also shooting better. Against St. Maries we shot 15 percent, including 0-for-13 from the 3-point line,” said Hinthorn. “Against Wallace we shot 34 percent and against Riverside we shot 51 percent. We need to continue to take good shots and create good shots for our teammates by penetrating or making the extra pass.”
The Badgers travel to Rathdrum on Saturday for a nonconference game at Lakeland High School.
