Here at the Notable Calls for Christmas Eve!

12-24-19

- Deputies handled several traffic complaints around the county.

- Deputies responded so a couple of residential alarms that ended up being false alarms.

- Deputies responded to a residence on Maple Ave. in Hayden for a resident that was reported to be “out of control.” Deputies arrived on scene and the resident was fine just being loud.

- Deputies received a report of a vehicle off the road on FS Road 614 near Forth of July pass. It was reported the road was very slick and chains would be needed. Recreation Safety Deputies were called out to handle the crash and rescue the occupants.

- Deputies responded to an address on Torrey Lane for an elderly female who walked away from the residence and was missing. Deputies checked the area and a short time later, the husband called and advised the female was located. The family was provided information on resources that could be used to help them in the future.

- Deputies were dispatched to W. Valhalla Rd x Kidd Island Rd for a possible battery between a father and son. Prior to anyone’s arrived, it was reported the son had left the residence. The son, who is not LEO friendly, was contacted via phone to gather his statement on what had happened. He was not cooperative with the Deputy and did not provide very much information but did say he did not want to pursue any charges. A report was completed to document the incident.

- Deputies made a traffic stop and ended up charging the driver for possession of a controlled substance.

- Deputies made a traffic stop and ended up charging the driver for DUI and Injury to child. A sober driver was called to the scene to drive the child home.

- Deputies cited and released a driver for possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop for a moving violation.

- Deputies arrested the driver for DUI and open container resulting from a traffic stop/

There was a lot of traffic out with people doing last minute shopping and going to family functions, however the call load was fairly light. Deputies conducted directed patrols in neighborhoods and other parts of the county.

Notable calls for the day!

12-25-19

- Deputies responded to the Post Office in Worley reference a Disorderly Male Subject inside the Post Office doing “karate moves.” On scene they contacted subject. The male was trespassed from the Post Office and provided a courtesy transport to the Crisis Center in Coeur d’Alene. F.I. Completed 19-50193

- Deputies responded to a reported Trespassing/possible Stalking issue at N. Angelica Ln. It was reported a male was down the street from house and there was a “restraining order” in place. After checking there was no protection or “restraining” order found. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the male’s vehicle. 19-50194

- Deputies responded to N. Rice Ave. for a Domestic Dispute. It was originally reported the male half had barricaded himself with a female in the home, and wouldn’t allow her to leave. As units were arriving to the area, an update was giving saying the female was in fact able to get out, and the male was outside near his truck. After Deputies arrived, it was determined no crime had occurred. A report was completed to document the incident. 19-50199

- Deputies responded to a medical call. While on scene, they assisted fire and medical personnel with finding arraignments for two wheel chair bound males as they were not able to remain in the residence.

- Deputies responded to the area of Hauser Lake Rd and Cliffhouse Rd for a hit and run crash. It was reported a vehicle had struck street signs and did no stay on scene. A short time later, Deputies received a call in the area of Three Forks Rd and Right Fork Rd for a report of an unknown injury crash with a vehicle on its top. The crash was determined to be a very minor injury and was the same suspect vehicle from the hit and run. The driver exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. He was detained and later submitted to a breath test with the results of .161/.167. 19-50215

- Deputies responded to W Meadow Lark Ln in the City of Rathdrum for an agency assist. Rathdrum PD was asking for a code three response to assist with dealing with a hysterical family after an incident inside a home. ISP also responded to assist. Units were able to clear once enough resources were on scene from Rathdrum. 19-50216

- Deputies stopped a vehicle on Honeysuckle and Huntington for a speeding violation. He made contact with the driver and his passenger. After an investigation, the driver was charged with possession of a controlled substance. 19-50218

- Deputies took a theft report from E Highwood Ln where it was reported unknown suspects entered the back of a pickup and stole a set of four vehicle tires. 19-50251

- Deputies handled several other calls to include, runaway juvenile reports, harassment, citizen disputes and assist calls. They also kept busy conducting patrols and making traffic stops.
