Pair injured in Friday accident

SAGLE — Two Sagle residents were injured Friday when the vehicle they were in went off the road and crashed into a tree, according to an Idaho State Police press release.

ISP said Kathline L. Mckey, 65, of Sagle was eastbound in the 500 block of Ponderosa Road in Sagle when her white 1996 Chevy Blazer went off the left shoulder, impacting a tree. Mckey, 65, and passenger David A. Stewart, 65, of Sagle, were both transported to Kootenai Health.

ISP said the dirt road was covered in snow and ice and neither occupants were wearing a seat belt.

An investigation is continuing.
