A Flathead Valley man was arrested recently after authorities said he struck another man in the head with a frying pan during an incident in Evergreen.

Jonathan Adam Crouch, 28, is facing one felony count of assault with a weapon. The maximum sentence he could serve is 20 years in the Montana State Prison.

According to the criminal complaint, a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a location on Montana 35 for a disturbance.

When the deputy spoke to Crouch, he allegedly admitted to being in an argument with another man and to hitting him with a skillet. The victim said Crouch hit him with the pan and a witness said Crouch was the aggressor, according to the complaint.

Crouch was taken to the county jail for booking on the felony charge before being released on his own recognizance. His preliminary hearing is scheduled Feb. 21.
