Clark Fork senior guard Brooke Stevens was named one of three alternates for the 2019 Idaho Statewide High School All-Star Basketball Games, scheduled to be held at North Idaho College on March 23.
The games, which pit 12-person teams of Metro (Boise) high school basketball players against Region (everywhere else) players in, are in their 16th year this season. Each team also has three alternates in this senior-only event.
Stevens averaged 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 6.9 steals per game during her senior campaign en route to winning the 1A District 1 Most Valuable Player award. Her efforts helped the Lady Cats finish above .500 this season with a 7-5 record.
Stevens is not only the first Clark Fork player under current head coach Jordan Adams to be selected for this event, but also Bonner County’s sole representative for the event.
Current Eastern Washington guard and Sandpoint alumna Grace Kirscher was the MVP for the girls’ game last season.
