MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Moses Lake man Tuesday on an outstanding warrant after a brief standoff when the suspect barricaded himself inside of his motor home.
Sergio Jiron, a 28-year-old Moses Lake resident, did not initially comply with requests to exit his home on Broad Street NE and to willingly be placed into custody. Jiron eventually exited the motor home and was arrested on an outstanding state Department of Corrections warrant without further incident.
Officers from the Moses Lake Police Department were called to assist deputies during the incident, as per standard procedure with a suspect who has barricaded themselves within a residence, according to officials with the sheriff’s office.
