Sandpoint senior Conner Matlosz has committed to play lacrosse at Concordia University of Wisconsin, an NCAA Division III school from the Northern Athletic Conference.
“Conner has unlimited potential and will be a great asset to our team,” Concordia lacrosse head coach Michael Fahey said.
Conner, a faceoff/midfielder, started playing lacrosse in 5th grade while also playing baseball. But his love of lacrosse took over and he decided to focus on it solely.
Matlosz played for Sandpoint Cutthroats from 5th grade until 10th grade until he was invited to play for Lilac City of Spokane during his junior and senior years. He was a part of the winning team at the Oregon Lacrosse Classic in Bend, Oregon in July, 2018.
Conner was being recruited by multiple schools before signing with Concordia University of Wisconsin. He will be pursuing a business degree in the fall.
While attending Sandpoint High School, Matlosz also competed on both the cross-country and track teams.
