COMMENTS: Divorce Facebook

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 6 years AGO
| January 9, 2019 12:00 AM

I was led to believe in a response letter I received several months ago from Mike Patrick that the Coeur d’Alene Press was planning to decouple the Letters to the Editor feature from Facebook.

Facebook has, as a corporate policy, classified comments that they deem “hate speech” as any comment that does not fit within their left-leaning agenda. In other words, they are censoring free speech.

Because I have deleted my Facebook account, I can no longer participate in the Coeur d’Alene Press online Q and A.

I think the Coeur d’Alene Press should remove any and all connections to Facebook and return free speech to the people.

Editor’s note: The Press is planning a major upgrade to cdapress.com in 2019 and is intent on decoupling from Facebook for comments.
