Clark Fork’s defense held Kootenai to two field goals in the second half en route to a 66-13 league win on Thursday night.

“We ran a few new things for some practice as well as pulled up some JV girls for experience to play with their older teammates,” Clark Fork head coach Jordan Adams wrote in an email. “Those are the girls that will be meeting with Kootenai for the next four years, so it was good for them to get on the floor with their future competition.”

The experience paid off for the younger players, as all 10 Wampus Cats who saw the floor scored. Senior Brooke Stevens led the way with a well-rounded 22 point effort on 9-15 shooting. Her six rebounds and nine steals were also team highs. Ellie Kiebert added two points, but had a team-high three assists to go along with her six rebounds and three steals. Jacey Grange led Kootenai with seven points.

Clark Fork moved to 4-5 (1-1 NSL) while the Warriors dropped to 1-6 and 0-2 in NSL play.
