A Kalispell man is charged with stabbing another man during a Dec. 27 incident on Liberty Street.

Joshua Lee Oser, 40, is in the Flathead County Jail facing one felony count of assault with a weapon. His bond is set at $50,000. He is facing a 20-year sentence in Montana State Prison.

His arraignment is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31.

According to the criminal complaint, a Kalispell Police officer responded to an apartment at about 1:50 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018. There he found the victim with an obvious stab wound in his stomach. The man said he was attacked in the parking lot by Oser, who was his neighbor.

Oser was found in the apartment, along with a bloody sweatshirt and a knife blade that fit with a handle that was found in the parking lot, the complaint indicated.

Oser allegedly admitted to being involved in a confrontation with the victim in the parking lot and to stabbing him, the complaint said.
