A heroic Wildkat comeback come up just short in Browning Thursday as Columbia Falls lost to the Lady Indians in overtime, 70-67.
Down by 20 with seven minutes to play in regulation, the Wildkats used a 23-3 run to force overtime. The Kats led 61-60 with 5.4 second to play, but Trista Cowan’s fifth foul put the Lady Indians on the free throw line, where they made one of two to send the game into overtime.
In the extra period, Ryley Kehr put the Kats up early with a jumper and later gave C-Falls a 66-63 lead with a three, but 11 free throws by the Lady Indians was too much for the Kats to overcome.
