Casen Kirland first baby of the year at CFVH

Although the New Year made its appearance several weeks ago, the first baby of 2019 born at Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains arrived on Jan. 24.
Casen Lawrence Kirkland was born at 8:28 p.m. to parents Chelsea and Thomas Kirkland.
He is the couple’s first child.
Casen measured at 21 inches long, and weighed 8 pounds.
Chelsea, who has a degree in early childhood development and experience in daycare and preschools, will be able to utilize her knowledge as she takes time off from her position with First Security Bank.
Tom owns and operates Big Bull Sports, located between Belknap and Whitepine.
Among the many congratulations, the new family received a special “First Baby 2019” gift basket.
Casen’s maternal grandparents are Linda and Phil Nichols of Reno, Nev., and Terry Cordell of Truckee, Calif. His paternal grandparents are Virginia Kirkland, of Petaluma, Calif., and Gordon Kirkland, of Acampo, Calif.
