It was a tough go for the Twins on Sunday, who fell twice to the Bitterroot Red Sox by a combined two runs.

Late in game one of the doubleheader, the Twins held a 6-2 lead going into the sixth inning.

Then the Red Sox bats got going, punching in five runs to take a 7-6 lead that would hold in the seventh. The inning was sparked by a three-run homer by the Red Sox.

The Twins racked up nine hits in that game, with Coby Clark-Dickinson going 3-for-4 and Jack Schwaiger and Zach Veneman both going 2-for-4.

It was the same story in game two, this time with the Red Sox coming up with a clutch two-run double in the eighth inning to go ahead.

The Twins had eight hits in that game, with Veneman racking up a triple, a home run and an RBI in four plate appearances. Clark-Dickinson also homered and had three RBI.

Corbin Hurst and Nathan Hader both picked up losses on the mound in the doubleheader.

It was a tough end to a week that started strong.

On Tuesday the Twins shut out the Kalispell Lakers A in Kalispell 13-0.

Glacier put up 16 hits in the dominant performance. Clark-Dickinson got the win on the mound, striking out five batters and allowing just one hit. He put up three hits in the game as well.

This week the Twins will travel to Helena for the Keith Sell Tournament, which runs July 3 through July 7.
