Little, a graduating senior from Lake City High in Coeur d’Alene was named to the 2019 Google Cloud All-America Division I cross country/track and field first team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. For Little, it was his second Academic All-America selection with a 4.0 grade point average, majoring in computer science and mathematics, also being selected as a junior. Little was selected to the Pac-12 Track and Field All-Academic first team, as well as won the Senior Excellence in Academics Award, and the Cougar Pride Academic Salute, which is awarded to a female and male WSU senior who has maintained over a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and displayed exceptional academic, athletic and personal qualities.
Michael Hicks
Ridgefield Raptors
Hicks, a rising redshirt senior outfielder from Coeur d’Alene High and currently attending Boise State, leads the Raptors in hitting with a 328 batting average (21 for 64) with five doubles, three home runs and 16 runs batted in. Ridgefield was 12-10 entering Wednesday’s game.
Kodie Kolden
Wenatchee Applesox
Kolden, a Lake City High product and rising sophomore at Washington State, homered twice in the last week for the Applesox (9-13), a West Coast Collegiate Baseball League team. Kolden is batting .261 (18 for 69) with eight runs scored and 10 RBIs entering Wednesday’s game.
ALL-BIG SKY CONFERENCE ACADEMIC TEAMS
Jocie Osika, Kara Story and Krista Story — all competing in track and field — were among 42 Idaho Vandal student-athletes to be selected to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team.
Osika, a rising junior from Lake City High, was selected for the first time.
Kara Story and Krista Story, both redshirt seniors from Coeur d’Alene High, were selected for the second time.
