Cut Bank's Conway named All-Around Cowboy at Bigfork rodeo

BIGFORK — The best was saved for last, at least in three events of the second annual Bigfork Summer Pro Rodeo.

The winning efforts were posted in Sunday’s rodeo finale in steer wrestling, tie-down roping and saddle bronc riding.

Ross Mosher of Augusta posted a time of 4.3 seconds to claim steer wrestling, Joe Harper, Paradise Valley, Nev., turned in an 85-point effort in saddle bronc and Logan Hofer, Magrath, Alberta, roped his calf in 9.1 seconds to claim the top spot in tie-down roping.

Cut Bank’s Nolan Conway won the All-Around Cowboy. Conway came away with $1,330 for his efforts in tie-down roping, steer wrestling and team roping. He posted a time of 5.4 to place fourth in steer wrestling, and he and partner Shawn Bird had a time of 6.4 to place sixth in team roping.
