For up-and-coming country star Miller Campbell, performing at the Mission Valley Rodeo was more than just another stop on her 265-show tour.

Campbell, who chose the Mission Valley rodeo to showcase her new material on her full-fledged upcoming retail release, got more than she bargained for at the Western Montana Northern Rodeo Association-sanctioned rodeo.

“It was so much work leading up to the rodeo, and it was just a big weight of emotion off my shoulders, to have people react so positively to the music they never heard, made playing at the (Mission Valley Rodeo) such a bigger bonus.”

Miller, who thanked Anderson Broadcasting for their hospitality for providing the stage, and LA Audio, for making the sound, said she was “thrilled” at the reception the Mission Valley gave Seattle-native artist, who lives part-time in Bigfork.

“I haven’t had that many people stay for music (at a rodeo) ever, and (the Polson Fairgrounds) has already asked me back for next year,” said Miller, who is part of the Glen Campbell family.

Miller was excited to showcase her latest content.

She is set to perform at multiple venues in Western Montana, the region, and the United States throughout her elaborate tour to promote her current mixes, and new material with a prominent producer in Nashville.

“I am so excited, I got to hear the final half of my mixes, and I am so ready to be out there, and enjoy my time,” Campbell said. “I am ready to promote my (upcoming release) I can’t wait.”

Miller, who currently is the owner of her own independently operated Sweet Whiskey Records, is now hoping to land with an established label.

“I am currently shopping my record to labels, and (hopefully) I’ll get interest from one, and we will have to wait and see what happens,” Campbell said. “I don’t have a current (release date) for my upcoming record, and we will have to wait, and see what happens.”

Campbell said she is looking for to returning to next year’s National Rodeo Association-sanctioned rodeo at Polson’s Fairgrounds.

“I would like to thank the Polson Fairgrounds, and all of their hard work and they did a great job at troubleshooting, and next year should be even bigger and better,” Campbell said.
