In a weekend of slightly informal games, the Logger Legends beat the Libby Loggers American Legion baseball team 8-5, Friday, and the Libby Logger and Strathmore Reds alumni teams battled it out Saturday, with the Reds coming back in the seventh inning to win 16-14

Libby led in the alumni game early, gaining a 7-3 advantage in the bottom of the first.

From there, the two teams kept pace with each other, and by the seventh inning, the Logger alumni were in the lead, 14-11.

Three walks with no outs put the Loggers into a dangerous position with bases loaded early in the seventh. The Reds capitalized on their position, bringing in runner after runner to gain a two-run lead, and the Loggers were unable to make up the difference in the bottom of the inning, with no hits and no runs.

This was the fourth alumni game, and with the most recent Strathmore win, the Loggers and Reds have each taken the trophy twice.
