Vehicle thief pleads guilty

BONNERS FERRY — On May 9, 51-year old Daniel Erwin Burton of Bonners Ferry, was charged with the theft of a 1963 Ford pickup truck.

Boundary County Sheriff’s Office received a report on May 7 that the pickup was missing. Detectives located the vehicle and returned it to its owner.

On July 1, Burton pleaded guilty to petty theft in Magistrate Court. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 23, at 1:30 p.m.
