Travis Usdrowski struck out six and hit a two-run home run as Coeur d’Alene defeated Southwest Ada of Boise 11-3 on Saturday at Croffoot Park in Hayden to square their best-of-3 series for the state title at one game apiece.
Game 3 is today at 10 a.m. at Croffoot Park. The winner advances to the Northwest Regional Aug. 4-10 in San Bernardino, Calif.
Owen Field hit a three-run home run for Coeur d’Alene, and three Cd’A pitchers combined on a one-hitter with seven strikeouts.
Cam Olson doubled for Southwest Ada’s lone hit.

Gavin Helms’ RBI double in the fifth inning tied the game, and Coeur d’Alene pulled away late to beat West Valley of Eagle, Star and Middleton 7-2 on Saturday at Croffoot Park to even their best-of-3 series for the state title at one game apiece.

Hunter Chambers went 2 for 2 for Coeur d’Alene.
Dallis Snooks hit a two-run homer for West Valley. Trey Ellis tripled, Carter Bailey doubled, and Oliver Allen struck out eight in five innings.
