GOP: Deficit, debt don't matter
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 5 years, 9 months AGO
If you look up the word “hypocrite” in the dictionary, you should see a big elephant with the letters GOP stamped on its back.
Let’s start with Trump’s all-time record high deficit and the country’s debt. When Obama was president, that’s all the Republicans complained about. You remember the Tea Party and “Don’t Tread On Me” flags and their fight against no taxes, don’t you?
Socialism is defined as “Taxpayer funds being used collectively to benefit society as a whole, despite income, contributions or ability.” Some examples that Republicans don’t want to talk about: public schools and free lunch programs (people without kids or grandkids still pay) for the benefit of children; farm subsidies (with billions more spent thanks to Trump’s stupid tariffs); subsidies to big gas and oil companies (so they can contribute to global warming); the military and defense departments; student loans and grants; the V.A., public parks; congressional health insurance plans; upkeep on parks, sewer systems, bridges; police, secret service personnel; and the list goes on.
I would much prefer living under this type of socialism (some of which is pretty abhorrent) than our current swamp dictator-in-chief and his buddies (Russian’s Putin, Saudi Arabian MBS (journalist killer), and of course, his lovely good friend, North Korea’s Kim). If Trump gets re-elected, then we might as well exchange our dollars for rubles.

P.S. Vote NO on the Lakeland school bond in August. Instead, let all the housing developers pay for it.
