Victoria Barrett, 49

It is with great sorrow that we share the recent passing of Victoria Ford Vilandré Barrett, two weeks after celebrating her 49th birthday. Victoria bravely fought off her multiple sclerosis for the past 20 years, most recently in Valley Vista Care nursing home, in St. Maries, Idaho. She died at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene on April 2, 2019, following much suffering from progressive MS accelerated by severe pneumonia.

Victoria led a wonderful life with her two sons, Clinton, 22, and Matthew, 16, and her late husband, Ricky. She spent her early years in Bedford Village, N.Y., and Sudbury, Mass. She moved to Menlo Park, Calif., in 1978 and relocated to Dalton Gardens in 2004. Tory was a graphic designer and enjoyed her art, photography and music. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Clinton Vilandré of Seattle and Matthew Barrett of Hayden Lake; her parents, Martha and Paul Vilandré of Hayden Lake; a brother, John Vilandré of Minneapolis, Minn.; a sister, Sarah (and Jakkob) Richards of Hayden Lake and nephews Riley and Jack Richards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Barrett.

Blessed and eternal be the memory of Victoria Ford Vilandré Barrett.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care of the staff of Valley Vista Nursing home in St. Maries, Idaho, and of Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene.

A memorial service for Victoria will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 501 E. Wallace Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Friends and family may gather one hour prior to the services at the church.
