Greg A. Leverich Sr., 66, quietly went home to Heaven to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at his home in Cocolalla, Idaho.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sandpoint, Idaho, with Pastor Steve Heinsen officiating.

Greg will be laid to rest in the Westmond Cemetery.

Greg was born on Feb. 21, 1953, in Fullerton, California, to Cecil and Stella Leverich. He grew up and attended schools in Fullerton, including Fullerton College.

Greg married Ora Overbey on Oct. 22, 1977, in Anaheim, California. He worked at R.L. Stevens machining equipment for 17 years. The family moved to Cocolalla in 1992. Greg worked as a baker for 23 years.

He was a member of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. His greatest love was spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals, and also sharing ice cream on Wednes-days with his grandsons, Zach and Alex.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ora Leverich of Cocolalla; two sons, Greg (Jennifer) Leverich Jr. of Sandpoint and Sean Leverich of Post Falls; five grandchildren, Trinity Hathaway, Zach Leverich, Alex Leverich, Lily Leverich and Ava Leverich; a brother, Russ Leverich of Brush Prairie, Washiongton; and a sister-in-law, Liz Sheldon of Riverside, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a stepbrother, Gary Sheldon.
