ROYAL CITY — The Royal City Public Golf Course will be hosting Eric E., a guitarist from Idaho, on Saturday, June 15 at 7 p.m.
This is not the first time that Eric E. has been to Royal City.
“He stopped to play at our golf course,” said Shawn Vetterick, the sponsor of the event. “I brought him back for some music. He’s been on Jay Leno, opened for Styx and others. He has performed in 49 states and 19 countries. He was out here and played a little while when we had the Young Life fundraiser on the 11th of May.”
The concert will be on the No. 10 tee box at the Royal City Public Golf Course.
“It will be right there by the club house,” Vetterick said. “The kids will be able to run around. It is a family-friendly event.”
There will also be food available for purchase.
“There will be hamburgers and hot dogs, things like that,” said Vetterick.
Vetterick’s goal for the event is to bring entertainment to the people of Royal City.
“We just need to bring entertainment to Royal City so people in the area don’t have to go to Moses Lake,” Vetterick said. “That’s the reason my wife and I brought the comedian in and him (Eric E.) in. Hopefully we can bring other stuff in.”
More information about Eric E., including samples of his music, can be found on his website at eric-e.com. Tickets for the Saturday, June 15 concert are $20 for adults 18-years and older, $10 for ages 8-17, with children 7 and under being free. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
“We’re going to be sitting around in the grass,” said Vetterick. “Come and enjoy the evening.”
The Royal City Golf Course is located at 13702 Dodson Rd. S., just outside of Royal City. For more information about the concert, call the golf course at 509-346-2052.
