The first night we met, you captured my heart with the twinkle in your eyes and your cute dimpled smile. I’m so happy to have spent 40 married years with you — you have been my rock in hard times, my confidant and my best friend. My heart still flutters when our eyes connect because we share a special knowing of each other. We have three beautiful children together. I just want you to know how very much I’m still in love with you — yesterday, today and forever.

MILESTONE BIRTHDAY

Lois Jacobson

100th Birthday

Lois Jacobson formerly from the Silver Valley and now a resident at Legends Park Assisted Living in Coeur d’Alene will be celebrating her 100th birthday on June 15, 2019.

Lois was born in Fargo, N.D., where music was constant in her childhood home. She learned to play the piano and cello, and sang in the church, school and Concordia University choirs. At Concordia in Moorhead, Minn., they traveled all over, even performing at a Billie Graham Crusade.

After graduation, she came out to Spokane to be with her sister and attended Kinman Business University for schooling in accounting. She met and married Martin “Jake” Jacobson and they settled in Kellogg. She started teaching at Kingston and ended up as the music teacher at Kellogg High School. Lois spent more than 40 years as junior and senior choir director at American Lutheran Church. A highlight was directing the Messiah performed by a joint choir.

Lois is active in the weekly Bible study, bingo, playing the piano and watching Gonzaga Basketball. Send her birthday greetings or stop in between 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, for an open house at 1820 Legends Parkway.

BIRTH

Cydaea Rich was born at 9:25 p.m. June 3, 2019, at Kootenai Health to Milinda Reeves and Jay Rich of Coeur d’Alene. She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces. Siblings are Dresden (8), Avylon (6) and Valkyrie (2). Paternal grandparents are David and Tynia Rich of Coeur d’Alene. Great-grandparents are John and Joyce Streiffert of Spokane.

EDUCATION

Montana State University has announced its undergraduate honor rolls for spring semester 2019.

There are two MSU honor roll lists: the President’s List and the Dean’s List. To be eligible for the lists, students must be enrolled in 12 college-level credits. This list was current as of May 29 and includes all registration corrections or grade changes that have been processed to that date.

Students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester were named to the President’s List. An asterisk follows their names below.

The Dean’s List includes the 3,301 students earning grade point averages of 3.5 or above for the semester.
