Stumptown Art Studio is holding “Painting for a Purpose,” a community benefit for Shelby Powell on Friday, June 28, from 7-9 p.m.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Powell — who is one of the founders of Stumptown Art Studio — had a bad fall severely injuring her neck and spinal cord. After emergency spinal fusion surgery and a week in the ICU she was flown to Denver, Colorado, to the Craig Hospital where she will stay for several months receiving immersive rehabilitation therapy.

Stumptown is planning a special community fundraiser with all proceeds going to the Powell family to assist with medical and travel expenses. The event will include a silent auction, raffle baskets, face painting, crafts and pottery painting. This is a family event, all ages welcomed.

To make a donation of items or services or for questions, contact Jessica@StumptownArtStudio.org or call 406-862-5929.
