The Beautification Committee of Envision Polson! invites you to nominate what you consider to be the “bloomin’ best” garden during the Polson Community in Bloom promotion. You are welcome to nominate yourself. neighbor and/or business in one of two categories, or both — Best Bloomin’ Business and Best Bloomin’ Residence.

Nomination forms are available at Southshore Greenhouse, Delaney’s Landscaping, Mission View Greenhouse, Perfect Shot and the Polson Chamber of Commerce Office and Chamber’s website (polsonchamber.com).

Judging will be based only on the front yards of residences and fronts of businesses beginning Monday through Thursday, July 15-18. Boundaries for contest entries are: Highway 35 East to Fulkerson’s Corner, the city limits of Polson, Kerr Dam Road to the intersection with Back Road, Rocky Point Road to the start of Kings Point Road and Highway 93 to Bay Point Road extending to Rocky Point Road.

Drop off your nomination forms to the Polson Chamber of Commerce office by 1 p.m. Friday, July 12, or mail to: Polson Chamber of Commerce, 402 1st St. E. #102, Polson MT 59860. Please fill out one entry form for each nomination.

Polson woman pleads not guilty to homicide

Danielle Jeanette Wood pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide during a video arraignment Tuesday before Lake County District Court Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher at the Sanders County Courthouse in Thompson Falls. Wood is charged with deliberate homicide in connection with the death of Thompson Falls resident Matthew LaFriniere in May 2018.
