MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man suspected of firing a shot Saturday just outside his apartment building at the Studio City Apartment complex was arrested Tuesday, according to police officials.

Gabriel L. Watley, 29, was booked on three outstanding warrants related to charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree assault and driving while under the influence. He is also facing a new charge of felon in possession of a firearm in connection with Saturday's incident.

Police responded to the Studio City Apartments around 2 p.m. Saturday for a report of a shot fired inside one of the rooms. Officers located a spent .22 casing and a live bullet outside of Watley's room. A warrant was obtained to search the residence, where a .22 caliber rifle was located, along with .22 and .357 magnum ammunition, according to police.

Watley was found in his apartment Tuesday afternoon and taken into custody.
