After falling to Cranbrook in game one of a doubleheader, the Glacier Twins got the bats going.

The Twins piled on 14 runs in the second game for the 14-3 win, sparked by a nine-run first inning.

Stevyn Andrachick and Jack Schwaiger both doubled in that big first inning. Schwaiger finished the game 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. Coby Clark-Dickinson had a lock on the mound, allowing just one hit while striking out seven.

Things didn’t go so hot in game one, which Glacier lost to a tune of 3-2.

Both teams were tied at one run apiece in the bottom of the fifth when a Cranbrook double brought in two runs. Glacier put up one run in the following inning, but couldn’t finish the comeback.

Schwaiger led the team at the plate, going 2-for-4. Zach Veneman added a double, and Austyn Andrachick and Jay Tyree each added an RBI.

On Thursday the team picked up a pair of wins in another doubleheader, this time over the Libby Loggers.

The team was on an offensive tear, winning by scores of 13-0 and 11-0. Schwaiger went for three doubles and one triple on the evening, while Clark-Dickinson and Forrest Kobelt got the wins on the mound.

The Twins return home this week on Wednesday to host Alberta at 7 p.m.
