Pine Street Dental, the Bonner County History Museum, and Sandpoint Parks & Rec are excited to announce the summer 2019 “Movies in the Park” schedule.

“Movies in the Park” will once again feature four movies this summer: “Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl” on July 19, “Sing” on July 26, “How to Train Your Dragon” on Aug. 16, and “Night at the Museum” on Aug. 30. “Movies in the Park” is a free community event, and all are welcome. Concessions will be available for purchase during all movies. Movies are shown at Lakeview Park, 901 Ontario St., and start shortly after sundown. Enhance your experience by packing a picnic and arriving early to claim your spot and enjoy games and snacks. Should inclement weather occur, movies dates may be rescheduled.

For more information about the “Movies in the Park” program, go online to the museum’s website, bonnercountyhistory.org.

“Movies in the Park” is made possible through the generous support of many organizations and individuals in the community. Thank you to Pine Street Dental for partnering with the museum to make this event a reality each year, as well as for the excellent movie screen and equipment. “The Movies in the Park series is an idea that came up when our staff at Pine St. Dental was discussing different avenues to give back to the community in a unique and meaningful way,” said Dr. John Wilson with Pine Street Dental. “It was very important to make sure that we could do the movies series as a free event and that everyone be invited. We hope that everyone will have a chance to take part in this wonderful community event.”

Program officials thanked the city of Sandpoint Parks and Recreation department for the use of Lakeview Park and help with park maintenance. The officials also thanked this year’s sponsors: Connie’s Café, AFS Home Health, Six Star Automotive, Kaniksu Health Services, White Cross Pharmacy, P1FCU, Bonner General Health, Ivano’s, Rivertown Financial Services, Bleeding Hearts Tattoo Emporium and CO-OP Country Store.

To help cover the cost of licensing films and keep the movies free to the public, the museum is seeking additional sponsors for this event.

All sponsorships include recognition in all marketing and press for the series, as well as on the museum’s Facebook page and website, and in all internal marketing. Sponsorships are $250 and hold a marketing value of over $3,000.

For more information about being a sponsor, go online to bonnercountyhistory.org/support.
