LETHBRIDGE, Alberta — Derek Bayley of Rathdrum finished strong over the weekend to earn his third check in four events on the Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada), finishing in a tie for 11th Sunday at the Lethbridge Paradise Canyon Open at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort.

Bayley, the former Lakeland High and Washington State standout, shot 65-73-68-64—270, 14 under par. He earned $3,850, bringing his Mackenzie Tour earnings to $7,862.

It marked his best finish on the Mackenzie Tour; he tied for 16th at the Canada Life Open in Vancouver in late May.

Alex Chiarella shot 64-67-65-68—264, 20 under par, to win by one stroke.
