SANDPOINT — It’s time to have a pizza party and help families in our community who are caring for a family member with memory impairment.

Papa Murphy’s Pizza in Ponderay and SASi’s DayBreak Center have teamed up for a fundraiser on Thursday, June 27, to raise money for the DayBreak Center Family Assistance Fund. This fund helps families with the cost of having a family member attend the DayBreak Center adult day program giving the family caregiver a much needed break and a safe, caring social center for their loved one.

Family caregivers have to balance their need for a break against the $10 an hour cost of the program and often come up short. You can help them by purchasing a pizza from Papa Murphy’s on showing a fundraising flyer or a picture of the flyer on your phone or pad. Only phone orders and in-store orders count and you must show the flyer when you pick up your pizza. Online orders do not count for this fundraiser. Contact the Sandpoint Senior Center at 263-6860 or the DayBreak Center at 265-8127 to request a flyer which we can email or text to you or come by to pick one up at 820 Main St.
