SANDPOINT — Summer is here, and the beer garden is open
The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce welcomed Utara Brewing Co. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, June 21.
After celebrating one year in business, Utara Brewing Co. owners David Kosiba and Christina Stecher have settled into a routine in the old Lightening Lube building on Pine Street. The renovation was exciting to watch as onlookers and employees of Greasy Fingers Bikes & Repair anxiously awaited the opening of their neighbor.
They have gathered a collection of regulars and welcome tourists for their original, in house brews and curry cuisine. Each week, Utara Brewing Co. releases a new beer, organizes fun events like beer bus tours, and schedules a full lineup of original music throughout the summer through Utara After Hours and Full Circle Productions.
With the opening of their beer garden and the ability to open the garage doors at the front and rear of the building, Utara has an open and welcoming feel. The smoke free beer garden has shaded seating and easy access to the bar.
“Proudly serving the Sandpoint community the finest, hand-crafted beers for one year,” said Kosiba. “Here’s to you, our loyal customers.”
You can visit Utara Brewing Company at 214 Pine St. in Sandpoint. Their summer hours are Monday through Thursday, 2-9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 12-9 p.m.; and Sunday, 2-6 p.m.
