BONNERS FERRY — Ryan Ian Mason, a 20-year old Bonners Ferry man, has been charged with three counts of rape in two separate cases, with the first case allegedly involving a 15-year old girl.
The first case was filed on March 22, alleging that Mason had intercourse with a 15-year-old girl, to which Mason has entered a not guilty plea. A warrant with a $25,000 bond was issued at that time.
On June 14, Mason was charged with two more counts of rape on a separate case. According to the court reports, Mason allegedly forced the female victim to perform oral sex on him while she resisted on Oct. 22, 2018. The second count involved the same victim, and court reports state that mid-November, 2018, Mason allegedly forced her into a car and tore her clothes off, despite her yelling at him to stop, and raped her.
Mason’s bond was raised to $50,000. His preliminary hearing has been set for July 26, at 1:30 p.m., and he remains free on bond.
According to the court reports, as Mason was being booked into jail on June 14, marijuana was found in his pocket, resulting in a misdemeanor charge.
