Lions are selling 4th raffle tickets

SANDPOINT — Are you feeling lucky? Or maybe, you just love the Fourth of July.

Either way, the Sandpoint Lions’ annual Fourth of July raffle is for you. The community’s annual Independence Day celebration — fireworks, parades and plenty of Fourth of July fun — are all thanks to the Sandpoint Lions. The festivities are funded through an annual raffle and tickets can be purchased from any Sandpoint Lions Club member.

The Lions are selling tickets today at Yoke’s, Saturday at Walmart and Sunday at the Hoot Owl. Lions will selling raffle tickets from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

This year, the grand prize the grand prize is 2019 Sea-Doo Spark, a two-person personal watercraft complete with a trailer, followed by a $2,000 Bonner County shopping spree for the second-place prize, and a third-place prize of $1,000 cash.

The Lions have been sponsoring the Independence Day festivities for more than 50 years. It pays for all permits, fees, stipulated costs, insurance, supplies, prizes, and most important of all — the professional fireworks show, club members said.
