Young music prodigies to perform with Coeur d'Alene Symphony

The Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra presents its 18th annual “Young Artists” Concert Friday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Kroc Center Performing Arts Theater in Coeur d’Alene.
The concert will be under the baton of Maestro Jan Pellant, the symphony’s conductor and artistic director.
The winners of this nationwide competition for high school and college musicians range in age from 13 to 32.
Each winner will play with the Coeur d’Alene Symphony in a program including works by Rachmoninoff, Donizetti, Saint-Saens, Strauss, Bellini, Puccini, Lalo, Beethoven and Brahms.
Tickets are $20/adults, $15/seniors, $10/student and youth. They can be purchased by calling the symphony office at 208-765-3833, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon; or by visiting cdasymphony.org. The Salvation Army Kroc Center is at 1765 W. Golf Course Road, Coeur d’Alene.
Earlier concerts in the symphony season have sold out. Early ticket purchases are advised.
