Inspiring and adventure-filled documentaries are coming to Whitefish as part of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation’s Mountainfilm on Tour.
The film-tour will visit Whitefish, Great Falls and Helena and show films selected from the Mountainfilm festival held annually in Telluride, Colorado. The O’Shaugnessy Center will host the two-day event on March 13 and 14, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the films beginning at 7 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will help bring over 350 volunteers into the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex in 2019 to protect trails, manage invasive weeds, protect wildlife habit and more.
Tickets are $15 and available for purchase online at www.bmwf.org/events.
Tickets can also be purchased in Kalispell at Rocky Mountain Outfitter and in Whitefish at Sportsman & Ski Haus.
Along with the films, the event will offer beer from Jeremiah Johnson Brewing Co., snacks and raffle prizes, including passes for the Red Ants Pants Music Festival, jewelry, outdoor gear, Bedrock Sandals and more. The grand prize for the film festival is a Kokopelli Nirvana Packraft valued at $1,000.
The event is sponsored by First Interstate Bank, Mindful Designs, River Design Group, Sanders B&B, Sweetgrass Psychological Services, Park Side Credit Union and Greg Schatz Builder.
