Adverse weather conditions resulted in the cancellation of numerous Little Big Wrestling events last week in Sanders, Lake and Beaverhead counties. Organizers had the safety of everyone traveling to the USA Wrestling events in mind since poor road conditions were common the last week of February.

Those mixers and tournaments that were cancelled included the Arlee Mixer in Arlee, and Mission Mixer in Polson scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26; an Arlee Mixer Thursday, Feb. 28; a Plains/Hot Springs Mixer (all grade levels) on Friday, March 1; and the Polson Invitational (grades 1-5), the Dillon Jaycees Invitational (grades 6-8) and Kootenai Classic in Libby, all on Saturday, March 2.

On Tuesday, March 5, the Mission Mixer (grades 5-8) was set for Polson.

Also on the schedule this week is the Arlee Unit Tournament — for beginner, novice and middle group wrestlers — on Saturday, March 9, beginning around 9 a.m.

Mission/Charlo is scheduled to host Arlee in a dual on Thursday, March 14 in St. Ignatius, featuring beginner and novice wrestlers, starting at 6 p.m. On Friday, March 15, St. Ignatius is the site of the Intervalley Tournament for beginning and novice groups on Saturday, March 16. Action begins around 9 a.m.
