MATH CARNIVAL Night at Linderman Elementary School was a “passport” for fun for kids and parents. Above, third grader Jasmyn Allred and sister Isabella, a fourth grader, register with hopes of winning a gift basket. PE teacher Micki Stanley is in the background.

Math Carnival Night was featured last Thursday at Linderman Elementary School, giving students an opportuntiy to have some fun in a learning environment.

Students and parents visited 11 stations — ranging from Cocoa Computation, Mad for Math!, Exploration Stations and My Voice Survey to Dancin’ Dice, Addition Bingo and Spectacular Sierpinski Pyramid.

“We have a very strong parent partnership team at Linderman,” principal Kristin Wilson said. “We’re purposeful in creating activities and inviting events.”

Polson woman pleads not guilty to homicide

Danielle Jeanette Wood pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide during a video arraignment Tuesday before Lake County District Court Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher at the Sanders County Courthouse in Thompson Falls. Wood is charged with deliberate homicide in connection with the death of Thompson Falls resident Matthew LaFriniere in May 2018.
