Cecil Alfred Williams, 87
Cecil Alfred Williams, age 87, passed away surrounded by family at his son’s home in Dalton Gardens, Idaho, on March 4, 2019.
Cecil was born in New Plymouth, Idaho, on Nov. 11, 1931, to Clarence and Winona A. (Carpenter) Williams.
He married Glendolyn June Steele on Nov. 11, 1953, and they were married until her passing in 1982. Cecil then married Carol Schelin on June 30, 1984, and she passed in 2012.
Cecil was a millwright for the Potlach Mill for 33 years until his retirement.
He was a volunteer fireman for Hayden Lake. Cecil’s favorite things were camping, going south for the winters in his RV, gambling in Laughlin, Nev., and watching his favorite dog, Toby, chase squirrels and feeding him treats.
Cecil is survived by his three children: son, Paul and his wife, Rhonda Williams of Dalton Gardens; daughter, Linda and husband, Bruce Wells of Sheridan, Wyo.; and Glenda and husband, Sean Craven of Grass Valley, Calif.; seven step-children: Bill and wife, Rhonda Schelin of Rathdrum, Idaho; Butch Schelin of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Curt and wife, Carla Schelin of Rathdrum; Nancy and husband, Mike Wade of Farmington, Mo.; Deona and husband, Clint Hunter of Hayden Lake, Idaho; Lania Parker of Rathdrum and Leah and husband, Jessie Hiebert of Rathdrum; brother, Duane Williams; two sisters: Delvonna Rude of Post Falls, Idaho, and Maxine Gentry of Coeur d’Alene; 25 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Cecil is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Kay Love and Louise (Hazel) Brown.
