Everyone is invited to the Choral Kaleidoscopes Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, in the Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center.

“Choral Kaleidoscopes Concert” will feature the NIC Cardinal Chorale, Cardinal Vocal Jazz and the NIC Chamber Singers, with guest conductor Joshua Shank. The choirs are conducted by NIC Music Instructors, Andrea Olsen, Mark Petty and Jesse Hampsch.

“Cardinal Vocal Jazz hopes to banish this cold weather with a rendition of ‘Sunny Side of the Street’ to be sung alongside arrangements of other standards from the jazz repertory,” Hampsch said.

Highlights for the program include the Chamber Singers’ presentation of Joshua Shank’s “The Color Madrigals,” a multi-movement setting of the poetry of John Keats under the direction of the composer.

“Come hear the rich treasures of the Northern Lands, with songs inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Iceland, Norway, Scotland and more,” Petty said.

The concert is free and open to the public.
