Creative professionals converge in downtown's Rockford Building

Twelve rooms for creative designers are planned for the renovated Rockford Building at 504 E. Lakeside.
The 450-square-foot studios are equipped with skylights and storage lofts, and two are available for the April 1 opening, according to owner Tanden Launder. His Bulwark Barber shop and business will move there from Third Street.
“The concept is to create a convergence of creative professionals in the heart of Coeur d’Alene,” he said. It will be popular during the monthly Artwalk and close to the summer Farmers Market on Fifth. Check www.rockfordbuilding.com.
Bloom Salon moves in Hayden
New looks and a variety of quality professional products are offered at Bloom Salon, which has moved to the LCT Professional Building at 8382 N. Wayne Drive in Hayden.
The eight employees offer hair and barber services, esthetics, permanent cosmetics, microblading and soon eyelash extensions. Usual hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
“We care about our clients’ hair and skin and their overall health and well-being,” said owner Kristi Agueros. She is joined by Kris Clancy, Lisa Kaastad, Ronda Bowling, Jenn Smart, Ashley Hughes, Annie Lowry and Angelina Seibert.

North Idaho Landscape Supplies in Hayden
Offering just as the name outlines, North Idaho Landscape Supplies is now what Reed Enterprises has been for many years at 11631 N. Government Way in Hayden.
Owner AAron DuPuis and wife Victoria now have what her father, Frank Reed, offered with screened topsoil, fill dirt, garden mixes, 20 varieties of ground rock, crushed rock and gravels and six types of beauty bark. The products can be picked up or delivered. The loaders have special-size buckets that can accommodate smaller pickup truck beds, trailers and dump trucks.

Bakery By the Lake adds second place
The second location for Bakery By the Lake will be a 3,400-square-foot building on East Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive next to O’Shay’s Pub.
It will include a cafe, drive-through, a roll-up window to patio seating along the Centennial Trail and a fireplace. It will be open daily for breakfast, lunch and evening appetizers with wine and beer by June 1 with about 20 employees.
