Comfort Keepers expands in-home safety technology solutions
Comfort Keepers of North Idaho announced the addition of a new, cellular-based, personal emergency response system to its line-up of services to support independent living.
The SafetyChoice Essence Medical Alert System is described as a “state-of-the-art home monitoring device” that provides advanced solutions for seniors to receive assistance in times of need or medical emergency. This 4G LTE device offers a reach of 1,300 feet — far greater than the standard 300 feet of most other systems. No landline or phone of any kind is required for the operation of this system.
Medical alert systems provide security and peace-of-mind to help individuals age in place. All calls are monitored by Guardian Medical Monitoring, a nationally-recognized emergency response center. When an alert is activated, the call center notifies the appropriate responder — whether emergency personnel, caregiver, family member, neighbor, or friend.
Comfort Keepers, locally owned by Kat and Jim Vercruyssen, provides in-home care solutions for Idaho seniors living in Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, and Shoshone counties.
