Arlee's Schall signs at Minot State

Arlee senior Lane Schall is slated to extend his athletic career at the collegiate level playing football for the Minot State University Beavers of Minot, N.D. The 6-foot, 185-pound Schall received dual acknowledgement on offense as well as defense during the 2018 season for the 8-3 Warriors. Schall received all-state as well as all-conference first-team recognition at quarterback as well at defensive lineman.

His junior season he was a second-team all-conference pick at quarterback, and an honorable mention at inside linebacker.

Schall was also a forward on the two-time (2016-18) state C champion, twice runner-up (2015-16, 2018-19) Arlee Warriors basketball team, being part of its roster all four years during which it compiled a cumulative 99-6 record.

At Smith Fields in Whitefish for the 2018 State A boys soccer championship, the Polson Pirates and the Northern A conference champion Bulldogs would put on quite a show in an energetic quest to claim the coveted state A crown last Saturday. This would be just the third foray to the championship match in the history of the Pirate boys’ soccer program, who hoped that the idiomatic expression “third time’s a charm” would play out in Polson’s favor.
