Shiffrin sets a new mark — Mikaela Shiffrin won her 15th World Cup race of the season (58th total) last week, setting a new record for both men and women. The win came in Slalom at Spindleruv Mlyn, Czech Republic.

She also took bronze in Giant Slalom this week, leaving her with a 97 point lead going into the finals. We’re holding off reporting all of her season achievements until after those are in the books.

Buddy Werner Championships — Mount Hood Ski Bowl hosted the Buddy Werner U14 Championships last weekend. More than 100 girls and 92 boys from across the Northwest competed.

Erika Edmundson had a great weekend, winning the Slalom title and placing 17th in Super G and 13th in Giant Slalom. Avery Edmundson placed 25th in Slalom and 16th in Super G. Crosby Schmidt placed 36th in Super G.

U14 Qualifiers — The Buddy Werner Championship results were also applied into the season-long U14 Qualifier formula. The 18 racer (9 boys and 9 girls) PNSA squad was named Tuesday, and Erika Edmundson is heading to the Regional Championships at Big Sky, MT next week.

Vertical Challenge for MS — This fun charity event will be held at Schweitzer on Saturday. Contact the Activities Center for details.

Potpourri — Watch here next week for results from EEYSL Finals and U16 Regional Championships.
