Edward Wayne ‘Ed’ Stephens, Sr., 71

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Edward Wayne Stephens, Sr., during his 71st year. He died peacefully at Renaissance Assisted Living Community on March 5, 2019.

Edward was preceded in death by his beloved son, Andrew, and is survived by his sister, Barbara; his brother, Kenneth; his sister, Kris; his daughter, Julie; and his sons, Edward Jr. and David. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Jameson, Elizabeth, Scott, Zoe and Micah.

He was born and raised in California and later moved to Idaho, where he would spend the final part of his life. Edward was born a member of the Papa Band of Mission Indians and was proud of his Native American heritage.

Edward loved people and sought to make friends wherever he went. The great loss of Edward is dearly felt and Edward will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 773 N. 11th St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene, in care of the arrangements.
