Today's ghastly groaner

An Irishman and his boy were walking through the woods in Ireland when they heard a rustling in the bushes.

The boy asked, “What was that, Daddy?”

“Aye, Laddie, I will go see what it is,” the father said.

The father returned and said that it was a rarry. He explained to the boy that a rarry is a vicious and dangerous animal and that he should kill it.

“But Daddy, we don’t have any kind of weapon,” the boy said.

“That’s OK Laddie, I will sneak up on it and push it over yonder cliff,” the father said.

The Irishman snuck up on the rarry and pushed it over the edge.

The boy ran over to the cliff and looked down, and then looked up at his father.

“Gee, Daddy,” the boy said. “That’s a long way to tip a rarry.”
